QuickBooks Beginners Online ClassIn QuickBooks Beginners Online class, you will learn how QuickBooks Online is an effective way for you to get started with the Intuit QuickBooks software and manage your business from anywhere. Using this software as a service, QuickBooks Online is a cost effective, convenient version of the program that has become an industry leader for many reasons.

Overview

Over three sessions for this QuickBooks class, you will cover what QuickBooks Online can do for your business to help manage your small business accounting more effectively. You will learn how to back up your system, navigate through the program, and a brief overview of setting up a sample company.

In the QuickBooks Beginners Online Class, you will work closely with your instructor in a small classroom environment. Your instructor, a QuickBooks expert, will use a sample company file to help you setup all the necessary components of a QuickBooks file from the ground up while providing real world scenarios and best practices to follow.

Enrolling in an QuickBooks Online classes at the Digital Workshop Center will take your business management skills to a whole new level. QuickBooks Online is hands-on and intensive and we have designed the class to make difficult topics easier to understand. Your instructor, a QuickBooks expert, will work with you closely to make sure that you avoid common mistakes in QuickBooks Online and apply best practices when possible.

Class Objectives

Upon successful completion of the QuickBooks Beginners Online class, students will be able to:

  • Setup a new company file
  • Manage chart of accounts
  • Create custom item lists
  • Process common transactions including invoices, sales receipts, payments, and credit cards
  • Manage bank transactions including checks
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Review accounts payable & accounts receivable
  • Analyze financials with reports

Note this class does not cover payroll or inventory in QuickBooks

Pre-requisites

  • Basic digital literacy including file management is required
  • Some experience with accounting vocabulary is helpful but not required.
  • It is recommended that you have QuickBooks Online available before the start of your first class

When can I start?

DWC classes are scheduled on a rolling enrollment system with flexible scheduling options. Each student needs to choose the schedule that best fits your availability.

Public, group classes in the certificate programs are offered approximately every 6-8 weeks. Students are able to start with any Level 1 class within the program list as long as prerequisites are met.

Who teaches these classes?

All classes are taught by industry professionals with 10+ years experience in their field.  Check the specific class offering to learn more about the assigned instructor for each class.

What format are these classes?

Stand-alone classes at DWC are focused skills workshops that teach in a specific area of a high demand career field. 

Often described as a "short course" format, these accelerated workshops can be attended as stand-alone or can be taken as part of a larger certificate program.

Certificate programs offer more comprehensive training to help lead you to empoyment, support & mentoring, portfolio building, and career coaching.

Every stand-alone class at DWC includes support and mentoring throughout.

Stand-alone classes within your program also include:

DWC offers several flexible financial aid options to help you finance your education.  None of our financial aid tools will require a federal student loan or add severe interest penalties.
