Private QuickBooks Beginners classes are customized sessions to learn QuickBooks to best meet the needs of your business. The main objective is to introduce you to QuickBooks’ basic features and give you an opportunity for hands-on coursework, so that you can immediately apply at your office.

In the QuickBooks Beginners Class, you will learn about the types of information you need to track in your business, and how to enter that information into QuickBooks. By the time you complete QuickBooks training, you will build confidence in your accounting software package to save time and organize business finances.
This QuickBooks training is available for both Desktop and Online versions. QuickBooks Beginners is scheduled privately and around your availability. Each lesson of the class is customized to your specific business. This QuickBooks course is taught by a local bookkeeping expert and each student will work in a sample company file to be able for practice.
Enrolling in a Private QuickBooks class at the Digital Workshop Center will take your business management skills to a whole new level. QuickBooks classes are hands-on and intensive and we have designed the class to make difficult topics easier to understand. Your instructor, a QuickBooks expert, will work with you closely to make sure that you avoid common mistakes in QuickBooks and apply best practices when possible.
Upon successful completion of the Private QuickBooks Beginners class, students will be able to:
- Setup a new company file
- Manage chart of accounts
- Create custom item lists
- Process common transactions including invoices, sales receipts, payments, and credit cards
- Manage bank transactions including checks
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Review accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Analyze financials with reports
Note this class does not cover payroll or inventory in QuickBooks
- Basic digital literacy including file management is required
- Some experience with accounting vocabulary is helpful but not required.
- It is recommended that you have QuickBooks Desktop installed on your home or work computer or access to QuickBooks online before the start of your first class

When can I start?
Stand-alone classes are typically offered every 6-8 weeks. DWC operates on a rolling enrollment schedule, allowing student's flexibility to start just about anytime of the year. See schedules posted above or contact a student advisor with help to craft your individual training schedule.

What format are these classes?
Stand-alone classes at DWC are focused skills workshops that teach in a specific area of a high demand career field.
Often described as a "short course" format, these accelerated workshops can be attended as stand-alone or can be taken as part of a larger certificate program.
Certificate programs offer more comprehensive training to help lead you to empoyment, support & mentoring, portfolio building, and career coaching.
