Internship Program

Catalyst Internship Program

Connecting small business owners with alumni for project-based internships

The Catalyst Internship Program is a pilot program designed to connect recent graduates with business owners in need of project-based work.  DWC graduates exit their program with an array of job-ready skills.  In order to continue to hone those skills, we encourage all students to work with small businesses or non-profits to bridge the experience gap and add more useful projects into their portfolio.

As part of the Catalyst Internship Program, business owners will receive invaluable help to grow their businesses.  Choosing from a select list of options, each business can select a project that best fits their needs including digital marketing, web design, graphic design and more.

Each Intern will have a chance to gain experience and build their portfolio as they continue to grow their career and network.

Catalyst Internship Program

Getting Started

Each applicant must complete the form below.  This includes selecting one of the internship options for a project-based assignment.  A project scope is also required in order to best pair the applicant with a recent graudate.

Upon completion, our Admissions Staff will pair the applicant with a list of potential interns.  Each applicant will have the opportunity to interview and officially hire an intern that is the best fit.

How does it work?

Graduates from Digital Workshop Center (DWC) are skilled and ready to help business owners with project-based work. Projects should be approx 10-40 hours in length. Project scope should be limited to one of the choices listed below.

Each applicant will define the project scope for the intern in detail before the project launch. DWC mentors will be available to guide the intern as needed.

At the end of the project, the intern will provide a summery report. The business owner will be asked to provide feedback as well.

DWC cannot guarantee any timelines for a project, and DWC is not liable for any delays in schedule. Any work provided by a student is the property of the applicant, however each student does retain the right to show their work in their student portfolio. An applicant is able to work with more than one intern through this program.

It is not required for an applicant to compensate an intern, however it is much appreciated and should be clearly determined in advance of the start of the project.

What qualifies for a project?

The Catalyst Internship Program can help an applicant to complete a project within any of the following:
