AI for Project Managers

A project manager's week is full of work that has to happen and creates no value on its own. The status report. The meeting notes. The third rewrite of an update for a different audience. The risk register nobody reads. It is necessary and it is not why anyone hired a project manager.
This workshop is the most hands on of our AI courses. Participants work directly in ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Claude across two days, on their own projects, building things they keep. It is deliberately multi-tool, because these products differ in real ways and the useful skill is knowing which to reach for.
Project and program managers use this where administrative load is crowding out actual management. It is practical rather than strategic: leaders who need to govern AI initiatives should look at Leading AI-Enabled Programs and Initiatives. This workshop is not on our State of Colorado Price Agreement and is available to all buyers directly.
Content, scenarios, and examples are built around your actual work and your approved tools before delivery. Most groups train live online, and on-site in-person delivery is available by request. This workshop is available by request only, with a three participant minimum, and sits alongside our other leadership development workshops.

Description
Day one is planning and tracking. Participants use AI to draft a work breakdown from a scope document, pressure test an estimate, generate the risks they have not thought of, and turn a messy set of notes into a plan. They learn quickly which tasks the tools genuinely accelerate and which produce confident output that costs more to check than to write.
The rest of day one and into day two is communication, which is where the hours actually are. Participants build reusable prompts for status updates, rewrite one update for three audiences, turn a meeting into decisions and actions, and draft the difficult stakeholder message. They compare tools on the same task and learn where each one is stronger.
Day two closes on judgment and limits. Participants work through what must not go into a tool, why an AI generated risk analysis is a starting point rather than an answer, and the tasks where accountability means a person does the work. They leave with a prompt library built on their own projects and tested during the workshop.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this workshop, though it assumes you currently run projects. Participants need access to at least one AI tool during the sessions. Teams new to AI can prepare with AI Fundamentals for the Workplace.
