Photoshop classes
Both classes below are taught live by an instructor, include a certificate of completion, and can run as a private session built on your own image library and brand assets.
Adobe Photoshop
-
Adobe Photoshop Beginners (Level 1)
14 hrs (4 sessions)Adobe Photoshop Beginners builds the foundation most self-taught users never got. Across four live sessions you learn to edit and retouch properly, understand resolution and color before they ruin a print job, work with layers and selections that hold up, and build a file a colleague can open and change. You leave able to produce work that looks professional because it was made professionally. From $795.00/student3 person minimum, private & group rates available -
Adobe Photoshop Advanced (Level 2)
14 hrs (4 sessions)Adobe Photoshop Advanced turns a capable user into a fast one. Across four live sessions you learn smart objects and adjustment layers that make revision trivial, advanced masking and compositing that hold up at full resolution, actions that automate what you repeat, and production output that meets real specs. The result is work that is faster to make and cheaper to change. From $795.00/student3 person minimum, private & group rates available

Two ways to train
For your team, or just for you
Train your team
Private sessions for your group only, built around your files, processes, and customers before delivery. Three participant minimum, with group rates for larger teams. DWC invoices your organization and provides purchase order documentation.
Join a class yourself
Register for any class above with a scheduled date, or use Register Interest and we will contact you when a date is set. Employer professional development funds can cover tuition, and every class includes a certificate of completion for your records.
Who books this training
Marketing and social media teams
Product shots, campaign assets, and on-brand imagery produced in-house instead of waiting on an agency.
In-house designers and production staff
Non-destructive files that survive revision, and output that meets print and platform specs.
Photographers and content creators
Retouching, color correction, and compositing that hold up at full resolution.
Government and public-sector teams
Procurement-friendly booking, invoicing, and completion documentation.
Learning path
Two levels, from first edit to production-ready files
Most people learn Photoshop by improvising, and it shows in the files: flattened layers, lost originals, and edits nobody can revise. The classes run in two levels, so beginners build the non-destructive habits first and experienced users go straight to the advanced room.
Photoshop is one of six applications in our Adobe Creative Cloud classes, taught by the same instructors who teach the design certificate programs.
Level 1: Beginners
Editing and retouching, resolution and color basics, layers, selections, and masks as a system, and building files that others can open and edit later. No design experience assumed.
Level 2: Advanced
Smart objects and adjustment layers, advanced masking and compositing, automating repeated work with actions and batch processing, and output that meets print and platform specifications.
AI tools, with judgment
Generative Fill and AI selection are part of both levels: where they speed up the work, and how to judge the output rather than accept it.
Certificate credit
Each class counts toward the Graphic Design and Digital Media Production certificate programs, so a workshop today can become program credit later.
Adobe software is not included
Participants need access to Adobe Photoshop before the first session, and the software has its own cost. Once enrolled, DWC students are eligible for Adobe student pricing, and we send the details before class.

What Photoshop classes are available?
Adobe Photoshop Beginners (Level 1) and Adobe Photoshop Advanced (Level 2). Each runs 14 hours over four live, instructor-led sessions, online, with a certificate of completion.
Which level should I start with?
New to Photoshop, or self-taught and unsure of the fundamentals, start at Level 1. Comfortable with layers, selections, and everyday Photoshop work, start at Level 2. Private team sessions can place each participant with a quick skills check.
Do participants need Photoshop before class?
Yes. Adobe Photoshop is not included in tuition and must be installed before the first session. Once enrolled, DWC students are eligible for Adobe student pricing, and we send access, discount, and trial details before class.
Can the training use our own images?
Yes. Private sessions are built on your image library and brand assets before delivery, so your team leaves with working files, not just exercises. Customization is included in team pricing.
Do the classes cover Photoshop AI features?
Yes. Generative Fill and AI selection tools are taught in both levels, with equal attention to where they speed up the work and where a trained eye needs to check the result.
Do Photoshop classes count toward a certificate?
Every participant receives a certificate of completion, and each class counts toward the Graphic Design and Digital Media Production certificate programs.
Can individual employees take a class?
Yes. When a class shows a scheduled date, anyone can register. If no date is listed, use Request Information and we will contact you when one is set. Employer professional development funds can cover tuition.
Are Photoshop classes available online?
Yes. Photoshop classes run live online nationwide, taught by an instructor in real time, and on-site, in-person delivery is available by request.
