Overview

In Adobe Lightroom Beginners you will learn how to utilize this industry standard software to create a workflow solution that will make you feel like an expert in editing, organizing and processing your photos. With your enhanced images and the cutting edge features of Adobe Lightroom, you will feel confident outputting high quality prints, producing client presentations & creating web galleries.

As you work through Adobe Lightroom training, each session will be a hands-on and intensive workshop, designed to help make difficult topics easier to understand.  Your instructor, an Adobe Certified Expert, will work with you closely to make sure that you avoid common mistakes in Photoshop and apply best practices when possible.

Class Objectives

Upon successful completion of our Adobe Lightroom Beginners class, students will be able to:

  • Define and use catalogs and collections
  • Work with collected items
  • Develop modules
  • Know where Lightroom ends and Photoshop begins
  • Utilize workflow must-haves
  • Protect their work
  • Distribute and print from within the software
  • Avoid common Lightroom errors

Pre-requisites

  • Basic digital literacy including file management is required.
  • It is required you install the latest Adobe Lightroom & Adobe Bridge software before starting class. Learn about Adobe CC student rates through DWC here or download a trial from Adobe.com

Stand-alone classes at DWC are focused skills workshops that teach in a specific area of a high demand career field. 

Often described as a "short course" format, these accelerated workshops can be attended as stand-alone or can be taken as part of a larger certificate program.

Certificate programs offer more comprehensive training to help lead you to empoyment, support & mentoring, portfolio building, and career coaching.

Every stand-alone class at DWC includes support and mentoring throughout.

Stand-alone classes within your program also include:

Certificate Programs & Bootcamps

Each Certificate Program & Bootcamp is comprised of several stand-alone classes, plus additional training specific to your career field, portfolio building with a comprehensive Capstone Project, and career coaching workshops.

For full length programs, support and mentoring is included and you will be eligible to work one-on-one with a career counselor.
