Adobe Photoshop Advanced (Level 2)

Your file works. Try opening it in six months.

There is a point where someone is genuinely good at Photoshop and still slow, because the skill they are missing is not another tool. It is workflow. Every file gets rebuilt, every change is manual, and every repeat job takes as long as the first one.

This class is that step. Participants learn to construct files that absorb change rather than resist it, automate the sequences they repeat, and produce output that meets the specification a printer or a platform actually requires.

Working designers take this to sharpen technique and fix habits picked up under deadline. Agencies and in-house teams take it to establish shared production standards. It counts toward the Graphic Design and Digital Media Production certificates.

Content and exercises are built around real work, and private group sessions are built around your own brand, templates, and files. Classes are delivered live online, and on-site delivery is available across the Colorado Front Range. This class sits alongside our other Adobe Creative Cloud classes.

This course includes

  • Live, instructor led class delivered across four sessions
  • Advanced work on your own real files and difficult subjects
  • Non-destructive systems built with smart objects and layer comps
  • Automation, batch processing, and production-spec output
  • Digital learning materials and take home reference guides
  • Certificate of completion for every participant

Description

The first sessions are non-destructive construction. Smart objects, smart filters, adjustment layers, and layer comps, used to build a file where the client's third revision takes two minutes instead of two hours. Most participants have used these individually and never as a system, which is where the compounding benefit lives.

The middle is advanced masking and compositing. Channel-based selections, luminosity masking, and edge work that survives at full resolution rather than falling apart when someone zooms in. Participants work on genuinely difficult subjects, because the easy ones were never the problem.

The final sessions are automation and output. Actions, batch processing, and scripting the repetitive work. Then production: color management, soft proofing, sharpening for output, and preparing files that meet print and platform specifications the first time. Participants also work with AI-assisted tools at a level where they can judge the output rather than accept it.
