Power BI classes
Every class below is taught live by an instructor, includes a certificate of completion, and can run as a private session built on your own data sources and reports.
Microsoft Power BI
-
Microsoft Power BI Beginners (Level 1)
12 hrs (4 sessions)Microsoft Power BI Beginners takes a team from manual reporting to a working dashboard. Across four sessions, participants learn to connect and clean data from real sources, build a model that answers questions rather than one table, create reports people can explore themselves, and publish so the numbers refresh without anyone rebuilding them. Available by request only, with a three participant minimum. From $795.00/student3 person minimum, private & group rates available -
Microsoft Power BI Intermediate (Level 2)
12 hrs (4 sessions)Microsoft Power BI Intermediate is where a report becomes infrastructure. Across four sessions, participants learn to model across multiple sources that disagree, write DAX that survives being filtered, design reports that stay fast as data grows, and use the Power BI service to share, manage, and control analytics across an organization. Available by request only, with a three participant minimum. From $795.00/student3 person minimum, private & group rates available -
Microsoft Power BI Advanced (Level 3)
12 hrs (4 sessions)Microsoft Power BI Advanced addresses what happens when analytics succeeds. Across four sessions, participants learn to control who sees which rows, optimize a model that has become slow at scale, apply advanced DAX patterns to genuinely hard questions, govern content across an organization, and work with the Copilot and Fabric capabilities changing how Power BI is used. Available by request only, with a three participant minimum. From $795.00/student3 person minimum, private & group rates available -
Microsoft Power BI for Data Driven Decision Makers
1 Day (8 hrs; two 4-hr sessions)Microsoft Power BI for Data Driven Decision Makers is for managers who use dashboards but do not build them. In one day, they learn to read a report critically, find the filter that is hiding something, tell a real trend from noise, ask the question that gets a useful answer from an analyst, and know when the dashboard cannot answer what they need. Available by request only, with a three participant minimum. From $495.00/student3 person minimum, private & group rates available

Two ways to train
For your team, or just for you
Train your team
Private sessions for your group only, built around your files, processes, and customers before delivery. Three participant minimum, with group rates for larger teams. DWC invoices your organization and provides purchase order documentation.

Who books this training
Analysts and report builders
The people who own reporting, moving it out of manual spreadsheet cycles.
Managers and decision makers
Reading dashboards critically without having to build them.
Finance and operations teams
Recurring reports that refresh themselves instead of eating the first week of the month.
Government and public-sector teams
Procurement-friendly booking, invoicing, and completion documentation.
Learning path
From first dashboard to advanced data modeling
Power BI training at DWC runs in three levels, so a newcomer and the person who administers the company workspace each start in the right class, and no one sits through material they already know. No coding background is required at Level 1.
Coming from spreadsheets? DWC teaches Excel training too, and many teams take the two in sequence: Excel for working in the data, Power BI for reporting that updates itself.
Level 1: Beginners
From manual reporting to a working dashboard: connecting data and building your first reports, with no coding background required.
Level 2: Intermediate
Where a report becomes infrastructure: modeling across multiple sources, DAX, and sharing through the Power BI service.
Level 3: Advanced
What happens when analytics succeeds: row-level security, performance at scale, governance, and Copilot and Fabric.
For decision makers
A one-day workshop for managers who use dashboards but do not build them: reading them well and asking the right questions.
How team training works
From first call to trained team
- 20,000+Participants trained

A short call about your team, your tools, and what needs to change after the session.
Customize it
Your instructor builds examples, exercises, and datasets around your actual work before delivery.
Deliver it live
Live online for most groups, or on-site at your location, scheduled around your team.
Make it stick
Every participant leaves with reference materials and a certificate of completion.
What Power BI classes are available?
Microsoft Power BI Beginners (Level 1), Intermediate (Level 2), and Advanced (Level 3), plus the one-day Microsoft Power BI for Data Driven Decision Makers workshop for managers. Every class is taught live by an instructor.
Which level should I start with?
New to Power BI, start at Level 1. Already building reports and ready for modeling and DAX, start at Level 2. Administering workspaces, governance, or performance at scale, Level 3. Managers who read dashboards rather than build them take the one-day decision makers workshop.
Should I learn Excel first or Power BI first?
Excel experience helps but is not required for Level 1. Many teams take Excel training first, since the two tools share concepts and DWC teaches both as one path from spreadsheets to dashboards.
Do I need coding or technical experience?
No. The classes are built for business professionals, not engineers, and Level 1 assumes no Power BI or coding background. DAX and deeper modeling arrive at Level 2, taught from the ground up.
Can the training use our own data?
Yes. Private sessions are built on your own data sources, reports, and dashboards, so your team leaves with working reporting, not just exercises. Customization is included in team pricing.
Can individual employees take a class?
Yes. When a class shows a scheduled date, anyone can register. If no date is listed, use Register Interest and we will contact you when one is set. Employer professional development funds can cover tuition.
How long are Power BI classes?
Each level runs across four short live sessions, and the decision makers workshop runs one day. Every class page lists its exact schedule and upcoming dates.
Do you offer Power BI training nationwide?
Yes. Classes run live online for teams nationwide, and on-site, in-person delivery is available by request.
