Microsoft Outlook Advanced (Level 2)
You handle the same email forty times a week.
Most people who are good at Outlook are still doing the same handful of actions dozens of times a week by hand. The message that always gets forwarded to the same person. The mail that always gets filed to the same place with the same reply. Each takes fifteen seconds and none of them should take any.
This class is that leverage. Quick Steps collapse a sequence into one click. Rules handle the mail before it arrives. Search folders show a view of everything matching a condition without moving anything. Together they remove a meaningful chunk of a week.
Operations and administrative leaders use this where a team handles high mail volume. Executive assistants and anyone managing another person's calendar take it for the delegation work, which is the part that is genuinely hard to work out alone. It follows on from Microsoft Outlook Beginners (Level 1).
Content, examples, and exercises are built around your own files and workflows before delivery. Most groups train live online, and on-site in-person delivery is available by request. This class is available by request only, with a three participant minimum, and sits alongside our other Microsoft Office training.
This course includes
- Live, instructor led class delivered across two sessions
- An audit of your own recurring email actions, then automating them in class
- Quick Steps and rules built for the sequences you actually repeat
- Delegation and shared mailbox work, done right rather than by trial and error
- Digital learning materials and take home reference guides
- Certificate of completion for every participant
Description
The first session is automation. Participants audit their own recurring email actions, then build Quick Steps and rules to handle them. Most identify half a dozen sequences they repeat daily and automate them during the session. They learn where rules break down and how to build ones that will not fire on the wrong thing.
The middle is shared work: delegate access, shared mailboxes, shared calendars, and managing someone else's schedule without stepping on it. This is the material people most often get wrong by trial and error, because the failure mode is embarrassing and happens in front of someone senior.
The final session is a setup built around the work. Categories and search folders that surface what matters, custom views, conditional formatting so important mail looks different, out of office and coverage handled properly, and the archiving and mailbox management that stops the whole thing grinding to a halt.
