Email Marketing for Beginners

The list you already own is the cheapest audience you have.

Every other channel is rented. The algorithm changes, the ad costs rise, the platform decides fewer people see you. Email is the one audience you own outright, and it is consistently the highest returning channel in marketing and the one most small businesses neglect.

The neglect is understandable. Email feels dated, the list is small, and the last campaign got a nine percent open rate. This workshop addresses each of those, and the fix is usually relevance rather than volume.

Small business owners take this because email pays for itself faster than anything else they can do. Marketing teams take it where a list exists, sits idle, and gets a newsletter once a quarter that nobody reads. Participants work on their own list and platform.

Content, tools, and examples are built around your own business and marketing before delivery. Most groups train live online, and on-site in-person delivery is available by request. This workshop is available by request only, with a three participant minimum, and sits alongside our other digital marketing workshops.

This course includes

  • Live, instructor led workshop delivered in two 4-hour sessions

Description

The day opens on the list. Participants learn to grow one made of people who actually want to hear from them, which is a different exercise from growing one that is large. They work on what to offer in exchange for an address, where to ask, and why buying a list is the fastest way to destroy the channel.

The middle is automation, which is where the revenue is. Participants build the flows that run without them: the welcome sequence, the follow up, the reminder. They learn to segment so a message is relevant rather than broadcast, because relevance is what separates an open rate of nine percent from one of forty.

The day closes on writing and deliverability. Participants work on subject lines that earn an open honestly, copy that gets read on a phone in eight seconds, and the technical and behavioral factors that decide whether you reach the inbox at all. They leave with a working flow and a plan for the list.
