Yes. Digital Workshop Center is a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP). Every DWC project management instructor holds the PMP, has more than 15 years of project management experience, and is authorized by PMI to teach. Each student uses the PMI authorized student materials kit, and the curriculum is aligned to the PMBOK Guide 8th Edition and the current PMP exam.

Yes. The program provides 42 hours of live, instructor-led project management education, which meets and exceeds the 35 contact hours PMI requires to apply for the CAPM and PMP exams. The education requirement is separate from the work experience requirement for the PMP, which you meet through your professional background. Students submit their own exam applications through PMI.

Tuition is $3,005. The PMI authorized student materials kit is required: $129 added to your tuition through DWC, or $99 purchased directly from PMI. You can also add the PMP exam fee to your tuition. The PMP exam is $445 for PMI members or $675 for non-members, and a one-year PMI membership is $165. With the materials kit, membership, and member exam price, the total is $3,744. PMI sets its own fees, so confirm current pricing at pmi.org before you pay.

We recommend it, but it is not required. A one-year membership is $165, and the member PMP exam price is $230 less than the non-member price, so membership more than pays for itself on the exam fee. The PMBOK Guide is PMI's foundational framework for project management practice. The 8th Edition moves from a process-based approach to a principles-based framework built around six core principles, seven performance domains, and five focus areas. The PMP and CAPM exams are aligned to the updated framework, so training built on earlier editions will not fully prepare you for the current exams. DWC's curriculum is aligned to the 8th Edition.

The CAPM is an entry-level credential with no work experience requirement, designed for people earlier in their project management career or making a first move into the field. The PMP requires documented professional project management experience in addition to the 35 contact hours of education. For the CAPM, the 35 contact hours are the primary prerequisite, so many students can apply right after graduation. DWC is live: you attend scheduled sessions with a PMP-certified instructor and a small cohort of peers, questions get answered in the moment, and your work is reviewed by an instructor who knows your background and goals. Yes. The Project Management Certificate is eligible for WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) funding through local American Job Centers, with eligibility determined individually based on employment status and income.
