Our story
From a hands-on workshop to a school for tech careers
We have always believed adults learn best by doing, with a real instructor in the room. That belief built everything that followed.
2006
A hands-on workshop
Digital Workshop Center started with a simple idea: teach the software and skills people use at work in hands-on classes small enough that every student gets real help.
Next
Classes become careers
Single classes grew into full certificate programs that pair those skills with real projects, a portfolio, and career coaching, built for career changers, dislocated workers, and adults returning to the workforce.
Then
A workforce partner
DWC became an eligible training provider for WIOA funding and a partner to workforce centers, vocational rehabilitation counselors, employers, and public agencies that invest in people.
Now
Live online, nationwide
Every certificate program is taught live online, so students join from anywhere in the U.S., and teams train live online or on-site by request.
Today
Skills that work
Fourteen certificate programs, workforce training for teams, and AI built into every program, with more than 20,000 students and 1,500 organizations trained.
Our mission
Help people and organizations build skills that work: practical, current, job-ready skills taught live by working professionals, so adults can move into better careers and teams can do their best work.
Our core values
What we stand for in every class
Inclusive classroom
From career changers to entrepreneurs to anyone who has ever felt intimidated by technology, every student gets a classroom where they can succeed.
Relevant expertise
We teach the real-world skills today's workforce uses: skills that build efficiency and real intuition, not just theory.
Mentorship
Small classes mean your instructor works with you as a mentor, building your portfolio and your confidence along the way.
The human element
Every session is taught live by a real instructor. We bring the human element to the online classroom.
Mutual respect
A student-first environment that treats everyone equally, guided by high ethical and professional standards.
Community minded
A welcoming community for students and alumni that is approachable, inclusive, and built to help you learn, work, and grow.
Our approach to learning
Adults learn best by doing
Every program and workshop at Digital Workshop Center is built for adults who need skills they can use, taught in small classes where questions get answered. Our instructors are working professionals who bring current industry experience into the classroom and tailor instruction to your goals. Meet our instructors.

In their words
What students and teams say
Being on the older side, I was worried about being able to keep up with classes and comprehending the information... Great way of teaching. Helpful while maintaining my sense of dignity.
The instructors were all supportive and seemed genuinely invested in our success. They also offer career coaching sessions which can be really helpful.
The PhotoShop class was incredibly helpful. My skill-sets continued to increase with each session. Most importantly, they are benefiting me in my current position.
