Live workshops

SharePoint classes

The class below is taught live by an instructor, includes a certificate of completion, and runs as a private session built around your own sites, libraries, and files.

  • Microsoft SharePoint

    9 hrs (3 sessions)
Microsoft SharePoint teaches the platform your organization is already paying for. Across three sessions, participants learn to navigate and build sites, manage document libraries with versioning that ends the emailed-attachment problem, set permissions that are correct rather than merely convenient, work with lists as lightweight databases, and integrate with Teams and OneDrive so people stop guessing where things live.

Who books this training

  • Operations and administrative teams

Document libraries with version control, so the right file is the one everyone finds.

  • Site owners and team leads

Site structure and permissions set up deliberately, with groups instead of one-off sharing.

  • Government and public-sector teams

Records management and compliance habits, with procurement-friendly booking and invoicing.

  • Organizations standardizing on Microsoft 365

Clear guidance on where files belong across SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

Course path

Three sessions, from version chaos to a site that works

SharePoint is the platform your organization is already paying for, and in most offices it holds a pile of files nobody trusts: emailed attachments with ten competing versions, permissions nobody remembers setting, and spreadsheets doing a database job badly. The training replaces those habits one session at a time, using your own environment rather than a demo site.

SharePoint is one of the applications in our Microsoft Office classes, taught by the same instructors who teach Excel and Power BI.

  • Session 1: Libraries and versioning

Navigation, sites, and document libraries with version control, check-out, and co-authoring: what replaces emailed attachments, and how to restore a previous version after an overwrite.

  • Session 2: Structure and permissions

Building a site around how the team actually works, permission inheritance and when to break it deliberately, groups instead of individual users, and the sharing settings that quietly expose content.

  • Session 3: Lists and integration

Lists as lightweight databases with columns, views, and simple automation, replacing shared spreadsheets, plus how SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive fit together and where a file should live.

  • Need the foundation first?

Teams newer to Microsoft 365 can start with our digital literacy training before moving to SharePoint.

  2. Customize it

Your instructor builds examples, exercises, and datasets around your actual work before delivery.

  3. Deliver it live

Live online for most groups, or on-site at your location, scheduled around your team.

  4. Make it stick

Every participant leaves with reference materials and a certificate of completion.

FAQ

Questions from training managers

Still deciding? Call 970-980-8091 or request a quote.

What does SharePoint training cover?

Three live sessions: document libraries with versioning, check-out, and co-authoring; site structure and permissions, including inheritance and sharing settings that expose content; and lists, simple automation, and integration with Teams and OneDrive.

Can the training use our own SharePoint environment?

Yes, and it should. Exercises are built around your own sites, libraries, and files before delivery, so the team leaves with a working site rather than a demo. Customization is included in team pricing.

Do participants need a technical background?

No. The class assumes basic computer skills and no SharePoint experience. Teams that need the broader Microsoft 365 foundation first can start with Digital Literacy for the Workplace.

How long is SharePoint training?

Nine hours, split into three live sessions, typically scheduled across one to two weeks so each session can be applied before the next.

Does it cover Teams and OneDrive?

Yes. The final session covers how SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive fit together, with clear guidance on where a file should be stored and why.

Can individual employees take the class?

The class runs by request. Use Request Information and we will contact you when a session is scheduled; most bookings are team sessions with a three participant minimum, and employer professional development funds can cover tuition.

Do participants receive a certificate?

Yes. Every participant receives a certificate of completion, along with digital learning materials and take-home reference guides.

Is SharePoint training available online?

Yes. SharePoint training courses run live online nationwide, taught by an instructor in real time, and on-site, in-person delivery is available by request.
