However, the VA deems 18 clock hours per week to be full-time. Student understands that the Monthly Housing Stipend will be prorated based on the number of weekly program clock hours compared to the VA's standard full-time rate. Student understands that the Monthly Housing Stipend will be prorated for any break in training that is greater than 7 days. Student understands that Capstone project hours are not applicable to the calculation of the Monthly Housing Stipend. Note: This does not apply to the Data Science Certificate. Student understands that the VA is responsible for all Monthly Housing Stipend calculation and disbursement. Student understands that to receive their monthly housing stipend, they must verify their attendance each month following the instructions outlined in the Certificate of Eligibility provided by the VA. Student understands that should they have questions regarding their specific Monthly Housing Stipend calculation, they must contact the VA directly at VETTEC.VBABUF@va.gov. Any Student using VET TEC understands they are responsible for the following: Student has reviewed and agrees to have the required equipment and software installed prior to the program start date. Student has reviewed and completed the program prerequisites and/or pre-class assignments. Student agrees to complete the standard program enrollment form to be provided by Workshop. Student agrees to register for each program/class on Workshop website following registration instructions to be provided by Workshop. Student agrees to submit monthly verification of attendance to the Buffalo VET TEC processing team, at VETTEC.VBABUF@va.gov, at the beginning of each month following the month in which you attended training. Student understands that the goal of the VET TEC program is that veterans gain skills to start or advance their careers in the high-technology industry. Student agrees that the employment outcome they are seeking after graduation aligns to this goal. Student understands that the Department of Veterans Affairs defines Meaningful Employment for VET TEC as: Traditional employment in a career supported by the completed program of study (paid internships/apprenticeships will suffice). Promotion in the veteran's current career if the veteran is currently employed in a career supported by the completed program of study. Self-employment if the veteran owns or operates a business and is utilizing the skills obtained through the completion of the program of study. Student agrees to submit the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Employment Certification form to Workshop upon request once the program is completed.
