About DWC
Who we are, who teaches, and how DWC is approved and regulated.
What is Digital Workshop Center?
Digital Workshop Center (DWC) is a career-focused school for tech careers that has delivered live, instructor-led training since 2006. DWC offers career certificate programs for adults building a new career and professional development for teams and organizations, all taught in real time by working professionals rather than pre-recorded video. Students enroll from across the United States, and many use WIOA, vocational rehabilitation, or employer funding.
Is Digital Workshop Center accredited?
No. Digital Workshop Center is not an accredited college, does not grant degrees, and its certificates are not college credit. DWC is a private occupational school approved and regulated by the state agencies that oversee private postsecondary education where it operates, and its programs are listed on state Eligible Training Provider Lists for WIOA funding. Graduates receive a professional certificate issued by Digital Workshop Center, and several programs also prepare students for industry certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, PMI, Google, and Intuit.
Who teaches the classes at Digital Workshop Center?
Working professionals in the fields they teach, not career academics or teaching assistants. Instructors bring current industry experience into every session, so the tools, workflows, and expectations they teach reflect what employers hire for today. Meet our instructors.
Can I enroll from any state?
Yes. Every certificate program is taught live online, so students join from anywhere in the U.S. and earn the same certificate wherever they live. Funding options can depend on your state; an admissions advisor can walk you through what applies to you.
How training works
Live classes, class formats, and what a session is like.
What does "online with live instruction" mean?
Every DWC class and certificate program is taught in real time by a live instructor using Zoom. Students join scheduled sessions, take part in discussion, ask questions, complete hands-on exercises, and get direct feedback during the session. It is not self-paced and it is not pre-recorded. If you have a question at 7:15 on a Tuesday evening, you ask it and your instructor answers it in that moment.
What class formats does DWC offer?
Three, depending on the program. Cohort programs run on set dates listed on each program page: Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Project Management, Advanced Graphic Design, Digital Media Production, and UX Design. Small live classes start as enrollment fills, typically within 2 to 3 weeks of enrollment: AI for Business Professionals, CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+, Frontend Web Development, and QuickBooks Bookkeeper. Class start timing depends on enrollment and cannot be guaranteed. Private, one-on-one programs are scheduled around you: the Business Administration Certificate and the Blueprint Basic Digital Literacy Certificate.
What is the difference between a certificate program and a professional development class?
Certificate programs are structured, multi-week to multi-month programs that cover a complete skill set from fundamentals to professional-level work, with projects, career coaching, and a professional certificate at the end. They are built for adults making a career change or adding a major new skill set. Professional development classes are shorter, focused workshops, from a half day to a multi-session series, on topics like AI, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and leadership. They are arranged for teams and organizations, and individuals can join public sessions when they are scheduled.
Do I need a Zoom account to attend classes?
No. You join sessions with the link DWC provides, and Zoom's free tier is all you need. You do need a reliable computer (Mac or PC), high-speed internet, a webcam, and a microphone. If you have not used Zoom before, DWC's tech support team can walk you through setup before your first session.
How big are the classes?
Small enough that every question gets answered and every student's work gets individual feedback during the session. The Business Administration and Blueprint programs are one-on-one by design, and classes for teams are sized to the organization.
Are session recordings available?
Yes. Class recordings are available after each session in every program, so you can review material or catch up after a missed class. Recordings support live attendance rather than replace it: the instructor interaction and feedback happen in the live session.
Certificate programs
Programs, lengths, credentials, and how DWC builds AI into each one.
What certificate programs does Digital Workshop Center offer?
Fourteen. Data, AI, and web: Data Analytics, AI for Business Professionals, and Frontend Web Development. IT and cybersecurity: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+. Design, media, and marketing: UX Design, Advanced Graphic Design, Digital Media Production, and Digital Marketing. Business: Project Management, QuickBooks Bookkeeper, and Business Administration. Digital foundations: Blueprint Basic Digital Literacy. You can also download a program guide for any program.
How long do certificate programs take to complete?
From about 6 weeks to about 6 months, part-time. About 6 weeks: CompTIA A+ (36 hours) and Project Management (42 hours). About 7 to 8 weeks: CompTIA Network+ (42 hours) and Security+ (48 hours). About 10 to 13 weeks: QuickBooks Bookkeeper (67 hours), Business Administration (83 hours), Blueprint (48 hours), and AI for Business Professionals (78 hours). About 4.5 months: Advanced Graphic Design (115.5 hours). About 6 months: Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, UX Design, and Frontend Web Development (198 hours each) and Digital Media Production (168 hours). Each program page lists the current schedule.
What credential do graduates earn?
Every certificate program graduate receives a professional certificate issued by Digital Workshop Center. Several programs also prepare students for industry certifications: CompTIA A+ (both exam vouchers included), Network+, and Security+ (exam vouchers included), the Microsoft AB-730 exam for AI for Business Professionals (voucher included), the Google Digital Marketing and E-commerce Certificate (included in Digital Marketing), the PMP or CAPM (Project Management is taught by a PMI Authorized Training Partner and meets the 35 contact hours for the PMP), the Microsoft Office Specialist pathway (Business Administration), and the QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification from Intuit (QuickBooks Bookkeeper).
Are DWC certificates recognized by employers and workforce agencies?
Workforce case managers and vocational rehabilitation counselors fund DWC programs, and DWC provides credential verification and program documentation to any employer or agency that asks. For employers, the strongest signals are usually what you can show: the portfolio you build in the program and the industry certifications many programs prepare you for.
Is AI part of the certificate programs?
Yes. Every program includes the AI tools and workflows changing how that job gets done, and the AI for Business Professionals Certificate focuses on Microsoft 365 Copilot and generative AI at work, with the Microsoft AB-730 exam voucher included.
Getting started
How to enroll, when classes start, and what you need.
How do I enroll in a certificate program?
Start with a free info session or apply to a certificate program. An admissions advisor follows up to talk through your goals, help you choose a program, review funding options, and walk you through enrollment, including any paperwork your funding source needs.
What is an info session and should I attend one?
An info session is a free, no-pressure conversation about programs, schedules, and funding. It is the best way to check fit before you commit, and there is no obligation to enroll afterward.
When do classes start?
It depends on the format. Cohort programs start on set dates listed on each program page. Small live classes start once enrollment fills, typically within 2 to 3 weeks of enrollment; class start timing depends on enrollment and cannot be guaranteed. In the private, one-on-one programs (Business Administration and Blueprint), you set the start date and schedule with your instructor.
What equipment and software do I need?
Every student needs a reliable computer (Mac or PC), high-speed internet, a webcam, and a microphone, and completes a technology check before the first session. Some programs need software that is not included in tuition: Advanced Graphic Design and Digital Media Production use Adobe Creative Cloud (DWC students get Adobe student pricing once enrolled); Data Analytics, Business Administration, and Blueprint need a Microsoft 365 subscription; AI for Business Professionals needs a Microsoft 365 Copilot license; and Project Management students buy the PMI authorized student materials kit. See the full computer and software requirements.
What if I am not sure which program is right for me?
Talk to an admissions advisor at a free info session. Advisors match your goals, timeline, budget, and experience to the program that fits. You can also download program guides to compare curricula on your own.
Funding and financial aid
WIOA, vocational rehabilitation, scholarships, payment plans, and employers.
What funding options are available for DWC programs?
WIOA workforce funding through your local American Job Center, vocational rehabilitation funding, employer sponsorship, DWC scholarships and the Community Heroes Discount, and Climb Credit payment plans. Many students combine options and pay little or nothing out of pocket. See financial aid for details.
How does WIOA funding work?
WIOA, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, is a federal program that helps eligible adults and dislocated workers pay for training through their local American Job Center. Eligibility is decided by your local workforce center, not by DWC. DWC is a WIOA eligible training provider on the Eligible Training Provider List in Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, and Ohio, and works directly with case managers on program documentation, costs, and reporting. See WIOA-approved training programs and career training by location.
How does vocational rehabilitation (VR) funding work?
State vocational rehabilitation agencies fund training for people with disabilities who are preparing for work. If you have a VR counselor, they can refer you to DWC directly, and DWC provides the documentation they need, including program descriptions, costs, and progress reporting. New Blueprint Basic Digital Literacy students begin with a two-hour Situational Assessment and a written report with training recommendations. See vocational rehabilitation funding.
Do you offer scholarships or discounts?
Yes. The Tech Skills Scholarship and the Women and Tech Scholarship award 25% to 100% of tuition, and the Next Mission Scholarship takes 80% off tuition for qualifying veterans and service members. An independent scholarship committee reviews every application, and a decision can take up to 14 days. The Community Heroes Discount takes 40% off for nurses, teachers, firefighters, police officers, and first responders. Blueprint Basic Digital Literacy is not eligible for DWC scholarships or the Community Heroes Discount.
Can I use GI Bill or VET TEC benefits at DWC?
Not at this time. DWC is not approved for Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) benefits and is not on the VET TEC 2.0 approved provider list. VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (Chapter 31) approvals are made case by case through your VA counselor, and DWC will provide a support letter. Qualifying veterans can use the Next Mission Scholarship.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Climb Credit offers payment plans for DWC certificate programs, from 0% interest financing over 12 monthly payments to Climb loans over 36 months, including options with smaller payments while you are in class. Plans are subject to credit approval, and a $100 registration fee applies.
Can my employer pay for DWC training?
Yes. Many employers offer tuition assistance, professional development budgets, or workforce training funds that can cover DWC certificate programs and classes. DWC invoices employers directly and provides purchase order documentation and certificates of completion. Training a whole team? Request a team quote.
Career support
Career coaching and help after you finish.
What career support is included with DWC certificate programs?
Career coaching is included with every certificate program, covering resume development, portfolio review, LinkedIn, interview preparation, and job search strategy. While you are in the program you can schedule up to 4 coaching sessions per month, then 1 session per month for up to 6 months after graduation. DWC's tech support and student support teams help throughout the program.
Do you guarantee a job after graduation?
No school can guarantee employment, and DWC does not. What DWC does provide is job-ready skills, a portfolio of real work, a professional certificate, and career coaching to help you take the next step.
Teams and organizations
Workforce training, AI training, and partnering with DWC.
Does DWC offer professional development for teams and organizations?
Yes. DWC delivers customized, instructor-led training for employers, government agencies, nonprofits, and workforce organizations, live online or on-site by request. Request a team quote.
Do you offer AI training for employees?
Yes. AI training is the fastest-growing category in our catalog, from AI Fundamentals for the Workplace, a half-day introduction to practical, responsible AI use, to AI for Leadership and Management, 16 hours over four sessions for senior leaders. See AI training for employees and leaders.
Can workforce centers and VR counselors refer clients?
Yes. Case managers and counselors can refer a client directly. DWC's admissions team works with workforce centers and VR offices every week, providing program documentation, cost breakdowns, CIP and O*NET codes, and the paperwork a funding approval needs.
Policies and logistics
Rescheduling, missed classes, and where to find our policies.
What happens if I need to reschedule or miss a session?
In the private, one-on-one programs, you reschedule directly with your instructor. In cohort programs and small live classes, recordings are available after each session so you can catch up. Emergencies are handled individually by the student support team, and withdrawal and refund policies are in the terms and conditions.
