Adobe Premiere Pro Beginners (Level 1)

The footage is fine. The cut is what people notice.

Video landed on your team the way design did: gradually, then all at once. Someone recorded the interview, someone else has to make it watchable, and that person was hired for something else entirely.

This class is for that person. Not film school, not theory, but the working sequence: get the footage in, get it organized, cut it so people keep watching, fix the audio, brand it, and export it correctly. Participants finish a real edit during the class.

Communications and marketing staff take this because video is now expected. Internal teams take it to bring training and recruitment content in-house. It is the entry point for the Digital Media Production Certificate.

Content and exercises are built around real work, and private group sessions are built around your own brand, templates, and files. Classes are delivered live online, and on-site delivery is available across the Colorado Front Range. This class sits alongside our other Adobe Creative Cloud classes.

This course includes

  • Live, instructor led class delivered across four sessions
  • A real edit taken from raw footage to finished export during class
  • Audio work, which is where most amateur video gives itself away
  • AI-assisted audio cleanup and auto-captioning
  • Digital learning materials and take home reference guides
  • Certificate of completion for every participant

Description

The first sessions are project setup and organization, which sounds like housekeeping and is actually the thing that prevents a project from becoming unusable. Media management, sequence settings that match the footage, and a bin structure that still makes sense in week three. Participants learn why a disorganized project fails at exactly the worst moment.

The middle is the edit. Cutting for pace, using the timeline efficiently, and making the choices that decide whether someone watches to the end. Then audio, which is where amateur video actually gives itself away: levels, cleanup, music beds, and why viewers forgive bad picture and never forgive bad sound.

The final sessions are polish and output. Titles and lower thirds that match a brand, basic color correction so clips match each other, transitions used deliberately rather than decoratively, and export: which settings for which platform, and why the file that looked fine locally is a mess on social. Participants also use Premiere's AI-assisted audio cleanup and auto-captioning, which save real hours.
