Overview
The Adobe After Effects Beginners Class is hands-on and intensive, but designed to help make difficult topics easier to understand. Your instructor, an Adobe Certified Expert, will work with you closely to make sure that you avoid common mistakes when creating, designing and exporting 2D/3D compositions and vector animation projects.

Class Objectives
Upon successful completion of the Adobe After Effects Beginners class, students will be able to:
- Explore the Adobe After Effects environment and workflow
- Work with a composition and apply special effects
- Create transparencies and 2D animations
- Color correct video and replace/remove unwanted elements
- Integrate Adobe After Effects with other applications
- Output video files
Pre-requisites
- Basic digital literacy including file management is required.
- Adobe Illustrator Level 1 or equivalent knowledge is required.
- Introduction to Design Fundamentals is recommended, but not required.

When can I start?
DWC classes are scheduled on a rolling enrollment system with flexible scheduling options. Each student needs to choose the schedule that best fits your availability.
Public, group classes in the certificate programs are offered approximately every 6-8 weeks. Students are able to start with any Level 1 class within the program list as long as prerequisites are met.
Who teaches these classes?
All classes are taught by industry professionals with 10+ years experience in their field. Check the specific class offering to learn more about the assigned instructor for each class.

What format are these classes?
Stand-alone classes at DWC are focused skills workshops that teach in a specific area of a high demand career field.
Often described as a "short course" format, these accelerated workshops can be attended as stand-alone or can be taken as part of a larger certificate program.
Certificate programs offer more comprehensive training to help lead you to empoyment, support & mentoring, portfolio building, and career coaching.
