What We Built
Strategic Technologies works with sophisticated oil facilities across the world, but they had been relying on outdated software to perform a crucial risk assessment and strategy selection process. This project aimed to allow users to use some of Excel’s built-in features in combination with highly advanced Excel forms and logic, so that the users could more efficiently make their strategy decisions as a team.
The processes used for this application involved a large number of worksheets and various methodologies for each user or facility. The solution we created included variable features to allow the user to customize the data entry screens, the custom columns and menu assignments. Each user could then customize the risk assessment process individually.
In addition, we designed several custom forms to help facilitate the speed of data entry. These forms connected data using several user defined functions, conditional formatting, and many more features.
Last, we added a custom report writer feature which allowed the user to choose the data to include in a report. Pre-built graphs were added with various styles available as well.
