We’re Better Together. How Community Partnerships Strengthen Our Mission
Community partnerships are the foundation of a successful business. Just like networking is important for individuals looking to create professional connections, community partnerships allow businesses to combine their efforts to achieve a shared goal. In our case, our goal is to be a Northern Colorado resource to empower adults who want to gain new skills and succeed in the workplace. Digital Workshop Center is proud to partner with many local organizations, each with a unique way of contributing to our mission while we contribute to theirs.
A few of Our Current Digital Workshop Center Community Partnerships
Homeward Alliance’s Hand Up Program
The mission of Homeward Alliance is to empower individuals and families who face homelessness to survive, move forward, and thrive. In many cases, employment is a prerequisite to escaping homelessness, but landing a job while homeless comes with immense challenges. The Hand Up Program works to help job-seekers who are homeless or near-homeless to find and maintain employment. This is where our partnership begins. Digital Workshop Center is a hiring partner with Homeward Alliance’s Hand Up, and we work with Homeward Alliance counselors to provide educational services to people who qualify for the Hand Up program.
Free Technology Classes at Loveland Public Library
We want everyone to have an opportunity to learn new skills that will help them advance their careers. We partner with Loveland Public Library (and the Poudre Library District, starting in January 2020) to provide FREE technology classes to anyone interested. Classes range from Typing 101, to Microsoft Word, to Excel, as well as Google Apps, Powerpoint, and more!
QuickBooks Classes with Larimer SBDC
QuickBooks is the industry leader in small-business accounting software, helping you keep track of bookkeeping, inventory, payroll, expenses, sales, and more. If you’re a small-business owner or you work for one that uses QuickBooks, this class is for you. We’re an exclusive partner with the SBDC, offering classes for both QuickBooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online.
Eligible Training Provider
Digital Workshop Center is also an eligible training provider for the Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for students with disabilities, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for veteran students, and Workforce Centers across Colorado for unemployed/dislocated workers. Everyone deserves to have access to affordable education, and we’re honored to partner with these important agencies that are helping to reduce the educational barriers that some people face.
The training offered at Digital Workshop Center to our community partners and the general public is designed to help job seekers prepare for employment, find and keep a job, and increase earnings. We also offer a variety of financial aid options that have been created to alleviate some of the burdens of getting started with your training. If you’re connected with any of our community partners and you’re interested in learning new skills, we’d love to work with you! Contact us today to learn more.
