PHP Level 1

PHP Level 1PHP is a powerful language to communicate between your website and a server.  As part of a full stack of web languages, it can help you go beyond static web pages and introduce dynamic content to your site.

In this PHP Level 1 class, you will start as a beginner and acquaint yourself with PHP by working with its common script elements, use the PHP script elements to create forms, address the stateless nature of HTTP by setting cookies and session variables in your scripts, and write the data entered in a form to a database.

This class will help you understand the basic concepts of PHP, while preparing you to learn more about advanced concepts, tools, and frameworks in the future.  Get started updating your web skills today!

PHP Level 1 is offered in a small class format so that you can work one-on-one with an instructor and have all of your questions answered effectively.

Class Objective: You will create PHP scripts and review the basics of the PHP language.

Target Student: This class is designed for the student who is well versed in HTML, and who has had at least some experience with scripting languages.

Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of PHP Level 1, students will be able to:

  • Familiarize yourself with PHP
  • Work with common PHP script elements
  • Work with forms
  • Address the stateless nature of HTTP
  • Access and manipulate data with PHP

Pre-requisites: Web Design with HTML5 and CSS3 or equivalent knowledge.

Training Type: Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.  Available for Private or Group Sessions.
