In this SharePoint class you will learn how to use and manage a team site the right way. In addition, you will learn how to take advantage of the security features that SharePoint has to offer. This class is for those who are new to SharePoint, but want to explore the various untapped capabilities that your organization has yet to explore correctly. Get started today!

Class Objective: In SharePoint Level 1, you will use, create, and edit content in a team site. You will also create and perform basic management of a team site using SharePoint.

Target Student: This course is designed for individuals who will need to access information on a Microsoft SharePoint team site or for individuals who may need to create and manage a team site.

Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of SharePoint Level 1, students will be able to:

  • Identify basic functions of collaboration technology and Microsoft SharePoint team sites
  • Add and modify list items and work with list views
  • Add, edit, and share documents across libraries and wikis
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members
  • Work remotely with SharePoint content
  • Customize your SharePoint environment
  • Create a team site
  • Perform basic site administration

Pre-requisites: Introduction to Computers or equivalent knowledge, any of DWC’s courses in the Microsoft Office curriculum, and possess power-user familiarity with at least one of the applications.

Training Type: Instructor led, private, one-on-one,  student-paced learning model with structured hands-on activities.  Available for Private or Group Sessions.
