Adobe Authorized Training Center

Digital Workshop Center (DWC), headquartered in Fort Collins, has been offering graphic design, web design, video editing, and digital marketing classes for students of all skill levels for the past ten years.  Today, DWC has been certified as the first Adobe Authorized Training Center in Northern Colorado and only the second in the state. In addition, certification by Adobe requires that all Adobe instructors at DWC are now Adobe Certified Experts.  DWC and their staff has been working closely with the Adobe Certification team to meet their stringent regulations for the classroom, software, and training materials.  With certification, DWC now has access to Adobe training center resources for their instructors and students like never before. Asked about the impact this certification will have on their training classes, DWC owner Stu Crair said “this is an enormous step forward for us in terms of solidifying our role in the Northern Colorado community as the go-to for Adobe training and expertise.”  Crair continues, “We’ve wanted to become an Authorized Training Center for years, but the process is difficult in terms of both time and resources.  Our instructors and staff worked extremely hard to achieve this dignified honor, and I couldn’t be more proud of reaching our goals to get this done” While based in Fort Collins, DWC classes are now also offered in Denver and online.  DWC classes are now listed on the Adobe Training Provider Finder, as well as their own website,...

Web development languages and frameworks rise and fall in popularity quickly. New graphic design software tools seem to pop up at least once a year. Business and productivity tools? Every day I hear about something new that will help me with my growing calendar and task problems.

Intro to Photoshop Levels

Now it’s time to take it a step further, and explore how you can use your newfound knowledge to tinker with the Levels tool in Photoshop. Remember, that this map is the key to understanding the range of tonalities in any given image, and that it can be played with to alter your white point, black point, and midrange tones. It may seem simple, but altering your histogram layout can have a pretty dramatic effect on your photos!

Photo editing software seems to be getting more and more complicated these days, and sadly, that scares away lots of people who want to use it. I’ve found that understanding the principles and reasoning behind editing tools is tremendously helpful when you’re trying to learn a new software program, and that’s what I’m hoping to accomplish with today’s blog!
